Lynnwood Convention Center Welcomes Big Brothers Big Sisters Art Auction

(LYNNWOOD, WA) The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County Art Auction will be held at the Lynnwood Convention Center on Monday, September 22nd from 6-8pm. Hand selected pieces of art from Littles - children who are enrolled in the mentoring program, are offered up for sale with 100% of the proceeds going to support the ongoing programs offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. These partnerships provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships. The organization is one of the the largest beneficiaries of The Keg Spirit Foundation, a local organization that supports charities that focus on the development of children and youth.
2014 brings a new exciting component to BBBS Art Auction. The Lynnwood Convention Center has joined forces with the Keg Spirit Foundation to host the Annual BBBS Art Auction on September 22nd. Over the summer, staff at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Snohomish County offered an array of art classes to help Littles create their professional looking masterpieces. The Lynnwood Convention Center's Art Committee selected the pieces which are now on display. Littles whose art was selected will have an opportunity to talk about their piece(s) at the Lynnwood Convention Center Artist Reception on Thursday, September 18 from 6-8pm. For more information about the Keg Spirit Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters Art Auction or the Artist Reception, please visit theLynnwood Convention Center website.
