The tournament is open to the public and runs from 7:00pm-11:00pm on Monday and 9:00am-11:00pm Tuesday through Sunday. There are three sessions each day with multiple events. The cost for each session is $13.00.
Winners of each event get Masterpoints and prestige. Masterpoints are registered by the ACBL and flight standings are based on how many Masterpoints a player has accumulated. Masterpoints can only be earned by playing in ACBL sanctioned tournaments and help players to achieve titles such as Life Master, Gold Life and Grand Master.
Since this is a regional tournament, the ACBL expects there will be on average 100 bridge tables in play at each session. Most participants are local but some players come from all over the United States, including professional bridge players.
"I'm looking forward to another great tournament of bridge players conversing about bridge hands and their triumphs and errors at the bridge table," said Tournament Chair, Tom Hansen.
