Lynnwood Convention Center Welcomes Fly Fishing Show

(LYNNWOOD, WA) The Lynnwood Convention Center is proud to announce that the Fly Fishing Show will be at the Lynnwood Convention Center on Saturday, February 16th and Sunday, February 17th.

The Fly Fishing Show features every form of the sport including lectures and demonstrations, a multitude of exhibitors, hands-on classes with expert fishers and an International Fly Fishing Film Festival.

Chuck Furimsky, the director of the show said the event’s primary goal is to educate guests about fly fishing as well show them various products to further their interest.

“Fly fishing is really about the outdoors and respecting nature,” Furimsky added. “There’s no better place to be surrounded by your environment than the Northwest. This really is a great place to fly fish.”

One of the highlights of the weekend includes presenter Gary Borger, who worked as a consultant on Robert Redford’s award-winning movie, “A River Runs Through It.”

Furimsky said he credits that movie with helping to boost fly fishing enthusiasts.

Another highlight of the event is the Fly Fishing Film Festival on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.

There will also be 10 door prizes given out to various fishing travel destinations including Canada and Alaska as well as a bronze trout sculpture.

The Fly Fishing Show will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
