(LYNNWOOD, WA) The Lynnwood Convention Center is proud to announce that the Music Center of the Northwest will be returning to the Lynnwood Convention Center on Saturday, December 1st for their 2nd Annual Holiday Gala.
Michael Alstad, Executive Director of the Music Center commented that last year’s attendees had such a positive experience at the inaugural gala that they decided to make it an annual event.
“Everything was so great,” Alstad said. “We now want to keep this event an annual tradition that will last for many years to come.”
Founded in 1989, the Music Center of the Northwest has focused on a mission to foster love and knowledge of music for students of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of ability, according to their website.
Their programs include music lessons, classes and ensembles, and various workshops.
Many of the programs that the Music Center offers are in support of young musicians. Their Music Together program starts newborn children on the path of music. As the children grow older they can advance into various musical programs set for specific age groups.
“There really is a positive impact on children when music is involved in their lives,” said Michael Alstad, Executive Director of the Music Center. “Our (Music Together) program is an opportunity for parents to have music be a part of their child’s life for a long time.”
The Gala serves as one the Music Center’s largest fundraisers to provide access to musical opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction followed by dinner, a live auction and dancing. There will also be students from the Music Center performing during the live auction.
This year’s auction items include vacation packages to Italy, Africa, and Bali, and France. There are also special one-of-a-kind experiences including a private wine tasting for 10 people. There are also gift certificates, art pieces, and a Grammy Awards experience in Los Angeles.
Tickets for the Gala are $75 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit www.mcnw.org or call (206) 526-8443.
